Dramatic Irony
Dramatic Irony- occurs when the audience or reader knows something a character does not know
Thou shalt continue two ad forty hours,
And then awake as from pleasant sleep.
Now when the bridgeroom in the morning comes
To rouse thee from thy bed, there art thou dead. (IV.i.105-108)
Shall Romeo by my letters know our drift (Iv.i.114)
This says that the audience is one step a head of Romeo about what is going to happen with Juliet.
