Reading Strategies
Picture it- Create pictures in your mind as you read to make the text meaningful to you.
Example: When I am reading ''Gone'' there was a moment at a house that was on fire. I pictured his rescuing this child who was on fire.

Decide what is important- Look for the main idea and the key supporting details as you read

Make Connections- Link what you are reading to your experiences, other text meaningful to you.
